A Rasmussen poll released on Thursday finds that most voters approve of FBI Director James Comey’s decision to reopen the bureau’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

According to the poll, 60 percent of likely U.S. voters agree with Comey’s decision to announce the investigation last week despite the timing.

Thirty-one percent say Comey should have waited until after the election.

Many including President Obama have criticized Comey for reopening the probe just days before the election.

Of Clinton supporters polled, 22 percent agree with Comey’s timing, in contrast with 68 percent that feel the FBI should have waited.

A staggering 97 percent of Donald Trump voters agree with Comey’s decision to make the announcement prior to the election.

Even more, 65 percent of U.S. voters think it’s likely Clinton broke the law.

Comey announced last Friday that the FBI is reopening its investigation into Clinton's use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state.

The FBI Director noted that he “cannot predict how long it will take” to complete the investigation.

The news came just 11 days ahead of the election.
