A Tampa panhandler was exposed as a fraud by Garrett Goodwin, an actual veteran who was suspicious of the JROTC patches on the panhandler's uniform.

The imposter was, reportedly, raking in money with his scheme until Mr. Goodwin told the panhandler to "Show me your veteran's ID card,”

Mr. Goodwin, who served as an army medic from 1994-2003, can be heard saying, “Then, take off my uniform” after the man replied he didn’t have a military identification.

"And I would have made sure he had a place to live and food in his stomach and the services he needed," Goodwin said.  “But he wasn't a veteran," Goodwin told ABC News.

Goodman said the panhandler was "bullying people out of their money" with his charade:

“I think he's a bully wearing a uniform holding up a sign walking up to people's cars in an intersection looking for money. I think he's bullying people out of their money."
