Obama Responds to Being Called a 'Hack' by Michael Jordan

Last week Obama's favorite team’s most famous player (Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls) called Obama a golf "hack" -- but yesterday Obama offered his own advice to Jordan: "He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats, or the Hornets," Jordan told Wisconsin radio station WJMR. Jordan is the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats (formerly, Hornets), who were swept in the first round of last year's playoffs.

“There is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am,” Obama said. “Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case.”

Obama's comments were in response to an interview Chicago Bulls player Michael Jordan gave last week, where he said that he wouldn’t invite President Obama to play with him because “he’s a hack” and a “s****y golfer.”

Ahmad Rashad asked Jordan whom he would invite on an ideal golf foursome.

“I’ve never played with Obama, but I would…” said Jordan, quickly changing his mind. “But nah, that’s okay. I’ll take him out. He’s a hack. Man, I’d be all day playing with him.”

Rashad: “Do you really want to say that? The president of the United States is a hack?”

“Don’t worry about it, I never said he’s wasn’t a great politician,” replied Jordan. “I just said he’s a s****y golfer.”

“No, he’s not a bad golfer,” returned Rashad, who has played with Obama on a few occasions.

“Okay, I don’t know if I should ask you the questions or you ask me the questions,” said Jordan, laughing. “I thought it was supposed to be my answer but I’m getting influenced by you.”
