It’s one thing for Muslims to denounce Israel. That’s like recognizing a day ending in “y.” They’re going to do it no matter the peace deals, no matter the circumstances and no matter what any religious text says. Hopefully, the Israelis can handle that ignorance coming from their counterparts. But when Muslims that are lucky enough to be allowed to live in the U.S. begin chanting “death to America,” well — now we have a problem.

During a rally recognizing Al Quds Day in Dearborn, Michigan last Friday, a city that has been long viewed by the less ignorant as a “no-go zone” for non-Muslims, anti-Israel activists could be heard not only chanting “death to Israel,” but also “death to America.”

For those playing the home game, despite Dearborn being considered a Muslim stronghold for the "religion of peace," it still resides on U.S. soil.

Here’s video of the event and the corresponding chants:

Reportedly, the “death to America” chants are the result of the U.S.’s support of Israel.

And, of course, Michigan notables like Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) have said nary a word. They haven’t released statements, haven’t said a word to the press about it and their X accounts don’t mention it at all, as of this writing.

At least the Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud publicly condemned the chants in a post on X.

“Over the weekend, video emerged of a rally in Dearborn where some attendees were chanting statements that were unacceptable and contrary to the heart of this city,” Hammoud wrote.

However, and I’m not going to post them here, but respondents to Hammoud’s statement carried the tone of disbelief in what the mayor said.

Here’s the thing…I don’t really care what their reasoning is. If they want to chant that crap in their home countries, have at it. But chanting “death to America” on American soil, where their lives have never been better, is akin to coming into someone’s home and threatening to kill them. I believe they have cause to at least kick you out of their home.

As a proud American — I know, that’s looked down upon these days — why would you stay in a country you wish death upon? Maybe you should leave…like now!

I can’t speak for others, but some Americans don’t take too kindly to people wishing death upon their country, just as you always like to defend your home country, which ironically you haven’t lived in for years.

As far as I’m concerned, chanting “death to America” in America is declaration of future terrorist action. Be careful what words you use, because they might not be taken well in the country that’s given you everything.
