While Gaetz contends that he made the call for McCarthy to vacate his position as House Speaker because of multiple broken promises concerning an agreement they made in January, McCarthy tweeted out on Tuesday that he made the deal to keep the government open using a Continuing Resolution (CR) “so the families of our troops and border agents could get paid.”
