new McLaughlin and Associates survey reveals that 69 pecent of Americans back President Trump's executive order to end the “catch and release” policy and make the deportation of criminal illegal aliens a top priority -- including Hispanic voters, 56 percent of whom say they approve of the deportation of criminal aliens.

The poll also revealed that 52 percent of those who say they voted for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton also approve of ending "catch and release."

There is also widespread support to cut off federal funds from "sanctuary cities" who refuse to cooperate with federal immigration law enforcement, with Americans saying they support this measure 59 percent to 29 percent. Hispanic voters are more evenly divided on this issue; however, 46 percent say they support it while 43 percent oppose.

The online survey sampled 1,000 likely general election voters. Surprisingly, the survey actually sampled Democrats over Republicans -- 36 percent to 33 percent. According to McLaughlin and Associates, the poll has an accuracy of +/- 3.1 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.

Though President Trump's orders are popular across both ethnic and party lines, the liberal media's coverage of these orders has downplayed this fact. The media also downplays that the primary "victims" of these deportations are rapists, murderers, thieves, and gang members.

Fox News Host Bill O'Reilly recognized this fact on Monday night’s “The Factor,” declaring that the press coverage following immigration raids during President Trump's term has been a "stunning display of dishonesty from the radical press."  Of the 600 people arrested during these raids, 75 percent were criminal illegal aliens who had been convicted of serious crimes.

There is nothing radical or racist about deporting rapists, and the American public recognizes that. The media should follow suit.
