“Mattress Girl” Emma Sulkowicz, famous for hurling false rape accusations, carting a mattress around her college campus, winning an inspirational women’s award, and ultimately making a pornographic film, is now venturing into BDSM to make “art” opposing President Trump.

Broadly, a division of Vice, reports Sulkowicz (who now goes by "they") said her newest project, “The Ship is Sinking,” involves her wearing an American flag bikini while she is suspended from the ceiling and a man in a suit verbally berates her.

"So, I told my classmates I was going to wear an American flag bikini and hang from the wall of the gallery in the shape of a figurehead of a ship, making a statement about the impotence of artwork during our given circumstances,” she explained.

She connects her artwork to resisting Trump, telling Broadly, “If our country is falling to pieces and you have artists running around saying they're political artists, but really their art is hanging on a sinking ship, the ship is still sinking.”

“I was thinking a lot about this—is it really possible for political artists to make work that makes the ship stop from sinking?” she asked. “The answer is: Whatever. I'm making work about that question.”

Broadly’s explanation of Sulkowicz’s art includes a man, dubbed "Master Avery," tying her up while he yells things such as, “Your boobs are too small” and “You can’t even stand up straight.”

She explained, “We're acting out this sadistic-masochistic relationship between the institution with all of its financial power, and this program that wants to be political but can't be really because it's being tied up by this institution.”

Sulkowicz also credits herself with being the reason why women came forward to accuse Trump of sexual assault.

"I would not say it paved the way, but I do think it helped create space for women to come forward with allegations against Trump when he was being elected,” she said.

The man who Sulkowicz accused of rape was found not guilty.
