Man Creates ‘Roman Candle Minigun” Video, Later Turns Himself in to Police

A Milwaukee man turned himself in after finding out that police were looking for the culprit behind the firing off of over one thousand roman candle rounds over Lake Michigan.

He may have gotten away with it had their video not been posted to the internet and subsequently gone viral.

The man strapped seven roman candle tubes to a 3” PVC tube with handles, forming a minigun-like apparatus. Remember, playing with roman candles in hand is dangerous as they’re prone to firing back toward the user.

While there was no damage to person or property, the law is the law and when it comes to Milwaukee - like many, many other cities - it is against city ordinance to shoot fireworks within city limits.

So, the man faces a $320 citation. Add that to the $140 it took to rig up the minigun itself and you’re looking at a nearly $500 bill for 45 seconds of fun.

Was it worth it? Judge for yourself after watching the video below.
