A new campaign by LiveAction juxtaposes video of Planned Parenthood supporters, such as Pres. Obama and the abortion provider’s president Cecile Richards, claiming that the organization provides mammograms with video of Richards denying it has ever done so.
In the “Mammosham” video, Planned Parenthood Pres. Cecile Richards is shown making the mammogram claim – then, shown denying it in Congressional testimony:
- “If this bill ever becomes law, millions of women in this country are going to lose their health care access, not to abortion services, to basic family planning, you know, mammograms.”
- “We do not have mammogram machines at our health centers, and we’ve never stated that we did.”
The video also show Pres. Obama proclaiming that Planned Parenthood provides mammograms:
“There are millions of women all across the country who rely on Planned Parenthood for – not just for contraceptive care – they rely on it for mammograms.”
