Early Friday morning, President Donald Trump announced that both he and First Lady Melania Trump, along with White House counselor Hope Hicks, had tested positive for the coronavirus. Both he and FLOTUS reported that they were doing well and would be quarantining themselves to avoid spreading the virus to others.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.

And, naturally, the mockery, death wishes and open vitriol from the left kicked off with a bang. “Bishop” Talbert Swan, who makes a living race-baiting, incessantly mocked Trump for catching the virus, peddling the long debunked myth that Trump called the virus a “hoax.”
Thoughts and prayers my guy. As you know...

“It affects elderly people. Elderly people with heart problems and other problems. If they have other problems, that’s what it really affects.”
- @realDonaldTrump
You’re an old guy with some problems. https://t.co/LenFmka6yP
Dear M& Mrs President,

I see y’all caught the hoax. No worries, WH has plenty of disinfectant you can ingest.
Why get tested? You know tests cause cases.
Maybe you’ll be ok by Christmas. Oh wait, Melania doesn’t ‘give a f*ck about Christmas.’#TrumpCovid #ItIsWhatItIs
And the hate didn’t stop there.
this is the first time Melania has been positive around you

Extraordinary that a virus would want to use ANOTHER virus as a host? #TrumpHasCovid #TrumpCovid

You caused this.
— Jennifer Lavallee (@therealLAVALLEE) October 2, 2020
You and you alone.
You could have stopped it.
You could have saved so many lives.
And if you’re looking for sympathy now, you’re def not getting it from me.
So much for a hoax, hmm?
Tens of thousands of other commenters sent mocking “thoughts and prayers,” shared memes of the president hooked up to IVs of bleach, accused him of intentionally spreading the virus to White House staff and military members, and even accused Trump of lying about having COVID to avoid any more debates with Joe Biden.
Just the left, keepin' it classy.
