At Least 100 Injured After NJ Transit Train Crashes Into Station

A New Jersey Transit train crashed into the train station at Hoboken during the morning rush hour, causing damage to the station, injuries, and potentially mass causalities.

NBC New York reports police say the train was the No. 1614 train on the Pascack Valley Line, although the investigation is new. WABC says the crash happened before 9 a.m.

According to WABC, New Jersey state EMS claims more than 100 people are reportedly injured as the result of the crash and some are trapped inside the train.

All PATH and NJ Transit service in and out of Hoboken has been suspended. NJ Transit claims tickets will be accepted by NJ Transit buses, private carriers, and the NY Waterway ferry.
