And you thought that the weirdness of 2016 was finally ending.

At a concern in San Jose on Thursday, singer Kanye West reportedly stopped in the middle of his concert to talk to his audience about the goings-on in the country, including mentioning who he would have voted for.

“I told you all I didn’t vote, right? But I didn’t tell you- I guess I told you. But if I would have voted, I would have voted on Trump,” West told the audience, which understandably drew a very mixed response.

It’s hard to know exactly what West covered in his apparently 40-minute dialogue with the audience that followed, as there were no recordings of it -- only live-tweets from people in the audience. But West apparently covered everything from saying his concerts were “safe spaces” for Trump and Clinton supporters, signing a shoe that was thrown at him, and even saying he wanted to run for president himself in 2020.

West was reportedly impressed with the disruptive nature of Trump’s campaign, and asked any Trump supporters in the crowd to make themselves known.

He also made a point of mentioning that, even though he knew the “media is more liberal,” he understood both sides and wanted to convey that to his audience. "People who voted for either side come out to the show, I know media is more liberal, what I'm saying is I'm not judging Trump voters.”

West isn’t the only one in his family that had been considering to vote for Trump. Earlier in the year, West’s wife Kim Kardashian had been the subject of reports speculating that she was thinking about voting for Trump after talking with Caitlyn Jenner, who's been openly Republican for years. Kardashian said Jenner asked her “to do my research before making my decision and then vote for the candidate whose policies aligned with the things that matter most to me.”

Kardashian eventually revealed that she was still supporting Clinton, but felt that both Clinton and Trump “have the intention of making the country a safer and stronger place for every American.”
