First Michael Bloomberg (I-N.Y.) made it known that he would seriously consider running as an Independent presidential candidate if Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and GOP candidate Donald Trump were to get their parties' respective nominations. Now, former Virginia senator and 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb is reportedly saying that he is seriously considering throwing his hat back into the presidential mix.

It was learned on Thursday that Webb would be in Texas to discuss his intentions to jump back into the presidential race after dropping out last October. It is unclear as to whether Webb would return to the Democratic field or run as a third party candidate. But Webb has acknowledged that his views were too conservative for a Democratic voter base that is increasingly moving to the left, so an Independent bid seems far more likely.

Webb is expected to talk more about his plans at the Dallas World Affairs Council in a speech later Thursday.
