Finally freed up to actually…well, do their jobs, immigration agents arrested an illegal alien on Tuesday who is wanted for hacking two men to death with a machete at a liquor store in Honduras back in 1993.

Following his grisly crime, Francisco Escobar-Orellana fled to the United States by crossing the border illegally. Immigration and Customs Enforcement admitted they have no idea when Escobar-Orellana came into the United States, or how long he’s been living here. When they finally identified and located him, he’d been living in Hope Mills, N.C.

ICE stated Escobar-Orellana is being held at the Wake County Detention Center where he’s been placed under an immigration detainer pending his likely deportation.

Under President Trump’s new immigration priorities, ICE is beginning to heavily focus not only on illegal aliens who’ve committed the most heinous crimes in the United States, but also those with more minor criminal records and those wanted for crimes in their home countries.

Also on Tuesday, ICE picked up a Dominican man wanted for a 2016 homicide in his home country. Similarly to Escobar-Orellana’s story, 35-year-old Kelbin Perez De Los Santos shot and killed someone before fleeing to New Jersey last year.

Both of these criminals join a long – and likely rapidly increasing – list of criminal aliens who developed solid rap sheets in their home countries before fleeing (both legally and illegally) into the United States – a list that recently came to include a wanted war criminal and infant-murderer, an incestuous child rapist and a former Dominican cop who shot a guy for no good reason.
