The man accused of stealing a Maryland State Highway tow truck and smashing into cars as he led police on a high-speed chase is in the U.S. Illegally.

According to FOX News:
"Cesar Flavio Lanuza is an unlawfully present citizen and national of Nicaragua," James Convington, spokesperson for ICE'S Enforcement Removal Operations in Baltimore, told Fox News Digital in a statement.
Covington said Lanuza will be transferred to the detention center once he's released from the hospital.
Police arrested the Nicaraguan national on Friday after the incident. Authorities 13 vehicles were struck and two officers were injured in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties.
