These levitating balls are either a great scientific invention or a fantastic CGI job.
It appears as if the team inserts a transmitter that also acts a magnet to control how much the magnetic field affects the balls.
But I'm not a scientist and I never did so well in physics, so I could be all wrong with the explaination.
