A brave and clever father calls out his children's school board for not taking action against sexually explicit books by throwing bags of chicken feed at their feet and calling them “chicken” during a meeting.

In a video posted on Twitter by Crisis in the Classroom, father David Cook tells the Beaufort County School District school board in South Carolina, “There’s a big difference between a book ban and eliminating access to this material.”

“I give you this gift as a way to demonstrate mine and many others’ opinion of your lack of action. Chicken. Too afraid,” Cook said in the video after throwing the feed at the feet of the board. “Matter of fact, your behavior gives chicken a bad name.”

One of the school members allegedly kicked the bags of feed away after Cook's statement. One might say it wasn’t their brand. (Yeah, I did.)

The video also shows Cook arguing that the explicit books were not properly reviewed before being released into the school libraries.

According to The Daily Caller, almost 100 books in the school district’s libraries have been challenged. Some of the books being challenged have been banned in other schools nationwide, which include LGBTQ books such as “All Boys Aren’t Blue” and “Flamer.”

Cook explained where he got the chicken feed idea:

According to my mother-in-law in Chile who lived under President Allende and does not support your behavior, it was explained to me there was no food and there were hard times in Chile. The people of Chile were upset with the military leaders that didn’t take action. They started throwing chicken feed at the doors of the Department of Defense, signaling the military leaders were too chicken and too afraid to take action.

(Note: In the portion of Cook's address to school board, they edited out the part where he called them "chicken" and threw chicken feed at their feet.)
