Clinton on Debate Night: Using a Private Server Was Just a 'Mistake'

During Monday night’s premiere presidential debate, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton admitted she “made a mistake” when she used a private email server during her time as Secretary of State, saying she would “do it differently” if she had to do it all over again.

Despite this admission, Clinton did not admit whether it was a “mistake” to delete some 33,000 emails from the server before turning the cache over to the State Department for review.

Clinton also did not admit whether several government-related emails containing classified information that were later found on the wiped server also constituted a “mistake,” nor did she address whether it was a “mistake” to scrub the server and have her staff smash her old Blackberry phones with a hammer.
