The Chinese government has opened a theme park dedicated to celebrating the Communist Party.

A local Chinese newspaper reports the theme park uses “lively, populist art” to show “the roles models and history of the party, exerting a subtle influence on the public and providing them with a ‘red benefit.’”

The theme park allegedly features figures of 35 communist “heroes and models” with accompanying 100 word biographies.

The Wahan theme park opened on Monday, just a few days before the anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on Oct 1. 1949.

People's Daily claims 300 people attended the theme park during his opening ceremony.
