A 26 year-old Canadian man tied 110 helium balloons to a lawn chair, sat down and then flew for 9 miles over Calgary before landing and being promptly arrested.

Apparently, Daniel Borgia was attempting to pull of a promotional stunt and the entire project cost him more than $10,000.

While some have likened the effort to the Disney Pixar movie "Up," in which a house attached to balloons soars across the world, it's far more likely that it was inspired by the Australian film "Danny Deckchair," in which the protagonist attempts to do the exact same thing with a lawn chair and helium balloons.
