Campaign Sends Vibrators to Congressman To Support Planned Parenthood

An online sex toy subscription service is offering to help you buy vibrators to send to your member of Congress in the name of supporting Planned Parenthood.

Unbound is hosting its “Vibes for Congress” campaign to send vibrators to members of Congress so people can express their feelings about Planned Parenthood–and so Unbound can line their own pockets.

Unbound notes only 75 percent of the proceeds for the vibrators, which cost $15, will be going towards the stated mission of trying to save Planned Parenthood from extinction.

The underlying message behind the vibrators is to “send the message that female sexual health and wellness is NOT up for grabs.”

Along with sending an actual vibrator, congressmen will also receive an “educational pamphlet” about what percentage of women have ever used birth control and how many women have visited a Planned Parenthood location “at least once in her life.”

Polly Rodriguez, the founder of Unbound, told ELLE.com, “Until Trump got elected, we'd always thought, 'It's the crazies who attack Planned Parenthood.”

“When we actually started to see them move to defund it, I remember feeling all of a sudden like we really need to raise awareness,” she continued.

“It's heartbreaking—this attempt to defund Planned Parenthood," she stated. "But when it's all white men making these decisions, it's a really unfortunate situation, and this is what happens. It's crazy to us that the people legislating sexual health and wellness are so far removed from the issues.”

It is ironic the feminists are sending vibrators to a group of people often described as a bunch of white old men, considering how often they complain about the alleged “orgasm gap.”

In fact, Marie Claire even wrote that one of the anticipated benefits of the Vibes for Congress campaign is that members of Congress could have orgasms, noting, “You could use a mood lift, Mitch McConnell!”

Also in the feminist vein, while speaking to ELLE.com, Rodriguez herself also reduced congressmen to their sexuality, saying, “So many of them could use it.”
