If there’s one thing leftists never pass up, it’s a chance to slack off from work and take money from other people. And it seems friends of slain activist Ryan Thoresen Carson are no exception.

Some buddies of Carson, whose stabbing death in the crime-ridden cesspool of New York City earlier this week was caught on shocking surveillance footage, have now launched a GoFundMe so they can ‘"take time off of work to properly mourn” their friend's murder. The fund, which the page claims was set up on behalf of Carson's girlfriend Claudia Morales, has already raised more than $70,000.

“Reeling from the brutal loss,” the GoFundMe recipients, who claim to be “a collective of Ryan’s close friends,” are looking for donations to “ease the burden and stress of this horrifying situation so that we can have space and time to grieve, and remember Ryan.”

“Immediate needs are to offset the costs of working class people taking time off of work to properly mourn,” the site explains.

Carson, a 32-year-old left-wing anti-police and BLM activist, was stabbed in the chest in front of his girlfriend on a Brooklyn sidewalk in NYC at just before 4 a.m. on Monday morning. Brian Dowling, an 18-year-old black man, was arrested and charged with Carson’s murder on Thursday.
