Having trouble paying your bills? Worried about how far your next meager paycheck’s gonna go? Frustrated by the rising rices of groceries, utilities, and…well…everything?

MSNBC wants you to know that life’s expensive, and you should probably just get over it.

Seriously. That was the response MSNBC 11th Hour host Stephanie Ruhle gave to Americans who are worried about their finances, and the Republicans who’ve pointed out Bidenomics have resulted in a whole lot of inflation over the past three years.

“For any Republicans who want to continue to try to keep battering the economy, yes, life is expensive, you can't argue that — this is a strong economy. That’s one of the reasons you see them pivoting so hard to immigration. They just can’t keep beating on the economy,” she rambled.

A few points, if I may.

Yes, you absolutely can keep battering the economy when people are still struggling to pay their bills and maybe - maybe - throw a little into savings each month. When grocery prices are sky-high, utilities continue to climb, and buying even a used car - much less a house - is out of the question for so many people, lamenting about the financial state of things is entirely acceptable. And predictable.

Secondly, Republicans are not pivoting to immigration. There’s a known and un-ignorable border crisis that’s currently overwhelming our cities and straining our social safety nets thanks to Biden’s open-door policies that have invited millions - millions - of illegal aliens into this country, sending them off to Wherever, USA with notices to appear in court as many as five and six years into the future. It’s hard to pivot to something that’s sitting right in all of our laps.

But hey, never mind all that - just eat this cake and shut up, you ungrateful peasant.
