Harvard Med Students Mocked For Cringeworthy Music Video

Have you ever been prepping to head into major surgery only to find yourself thinking, "Man, I really hope the attending has some mad rap skills"?

No? Congrats on your sanity.

But apparently, being able to drop a beat is what Harvard Med thinks people are looking for in the next generation of "experts" who'll be delivering their babies, replacing their hearts, and pulling tumors from their brains. A video featuring Harvard Medical students went viral over the weekend showing up-and-coming doctors bragging about how they "passed all my tests but I just skimmed the reading," before rapping - or, rather, attempting to - about how smart they are, and how everyone should want to become a "Harvard MD."

Let's just say I hope these kids' skill with a scalpel is better than their vocal abilities, which are pretty much nil.

And the internet wasn't impressed.

Unfortunately, none of this is surprising - the toy-throwing, toddler hissy fits that have taken over college campuses over the past several weeks have pretty much destroyed any faith I had left in the next generation's ability to lead. Or, you know, function as a human being.

But if this is who I've got to depend on in the ER, I'll just be removing my own spleen, thanks.
