24-year-old illegal alien Cristhian Rivera pleaded not guilty Wednesday to the murder of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts, a 20-year-old woman found dead in a field in August after having vanished while jogging July 18.

Rivera, a Mexican citizen living in the United States illegally, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the crime. Prior to his arraignment Wednesday, he’d requested and was granted $5,000 toward a special investigator to look into his case – at American taxpayer expense, of course. He’s currently in jail on a $5 million cash-only bond.
Mollie’s body was found stabbed to death on August 21.
