Last Friday, the Supreme Court issued some phenomenal decisions to protect the liberty of American citizens enshrined in the Constitution.

To start, SCOTUS ruled 6-3 in favor of religious liberty in their decision to back a Colorado artist who declined to design wedding websites for same-sex couples, saying the First Amendment prohibits state governments from forcing artists to express messages contrary to a person’s religious beliefs.

Secondly, SCOTUS struck down affirmative action, a practice that has allowed colleges and universities to consider race as a determining factor in admissions. Now, college admissions will truly be based on a person’s merit, and not the color of their skin.

Third, SCOTUS held that federal law does not permit the secretary of education to "forgive" - i.e., force other taxpayers to pay - more than $430 billion in student loan debt.

But while these constitutionally sound rulings uphold liberty and the rights we've been granted by God, apparently, SCOTUS' decisions are actually so traumatic and upsetting for college-aged students that they require therapy sessions!

At Boston University Law, the Student Government Association sent out a school-wide email in which they condemned the recent SCOTUS rulings and encouraged students to seek out school counseling resources if they are having trouble accepting the Court’s rulings.

According to Fox News Digital, "[The assenting judges] went so far as to say that the race-based admission system uses race as a negative and operates it as a stereotype," the email stated. "They may couch their opinion in legal jargon, but we all know what this opinion aims to do: advocate for a ‘colorblind’ admission process."

"However, as many of our students know and Justice Sotomayor says in her dissent, ‘ignoring race will not equalize a society that is racially unequal,'" it continued. "As a reminder, BU also offers a number of wellness resources that are willing and able to help students navigate these times."

I find this hilarious, as college is supposed to be a place where young adults learn how to become just that – an adult. Instead, Boston University is just blindly pushing left-wing talking points and coddling its students in the process. Colleges these days are truly enabling students to act like snowflakes if this is how SGAs react to constitutional rulings like that of SCOTUS last week.

Is SCOTUS really full of such meanies that we need therapy sessions because we’re so distraught over their rulings? That’s ridiculous! The Court has now advocated for religious liberty, eliminating racism, and financial responsibility. These are things we should be celebrating.
