Anger, Bitterness and Excuses From Twitter Liberals

The Republican "wave" that hit last night, understandably, left a lot of liberals very upset. Some of the most popular liberals on Twitter didn't hold back from expressing their displeasure as the nation spanked the Democrats throughout the country. Here are some of our favorites:

Bette Midler made some bold predictions:

Co-Editor of Mother Jones Clara Jeffery thought Obamacare could have been a winner in Kentucky:

Wonkette's Ana Marie Cox played the race card, like a pro:

Then she compared the GOP to insects:

Donna Brazile refused to concede that Americans had clearly chosen the GOP despite all of Obama's "accomplisments":

Author Goldie Taylor either hasn't been paying attention or her definition of "Dems" is far different from that of most Americans:

Actor John Fugelsang must have been too angry to even make an effort and tweeted out something that the losing side of every election since 2006 has said on social media:

Sally Kohn had a unique interpretation of the night's results:

Daily Show creator Lizz Winestead is probably stocking up on condoms as I write this:

I must have missed this part of McConnell's victory speech:

Well, if anyone knows "insane"......

So, either Joni Ersnt is actually a cloud of filthy emissions or nuclear waste posing as an Iowa farmer, or comedian, Pete Dominick doesn't know how the word "literally" works:

Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards laid out what she thinks should be the GOP's strategy for the next few years. And who better to take advice from than someone whose organization just spent millions of dollars to beat your candidates?

As always, Anthony Weiner kept it classy on Twitter:

I'm not sure how comedian Rob Delaney knows what color Obama's pen is [Language Warning]:

Journalist Connie Schultz had some advice for American women.  Maybe Mark Udall can help with the registration now that he's unemployed:

At least, Senate Majority Leader, was gracious.

Although it seems a bit strange that the message that Reid got from being fired in a landslide is that Americans want the GOP to work with him.
