Abortions are up and contraceptives are down in Planned Parenthood’s 2015-16 annual report, released Tuesday.

In its new report, which was published about four months behind its typical late-December rollout date, the nation’s largest abortion provider confessed to performing 328,348 abortions during the 2015-16 fiscal year, up from 323,999 abortions reported the year before.

The yearly breakdown for the self-touted women’s health care provider also revealed a dramatic 12 percent decrease in the number of breast exams provided by Planned Parenthood over that same time frame. The organization, which does not offer mammograms, performed 321,700 breast exams during the 2015-16 fiscal year, compared to 363,803 breast exams given the year before.

Likewise, the group handed out reversible contraceptives such as birth control pills to nearly 70,000 fewer women in 2015-16 than the year before, despite performing more abortions.

Planned Parenthood's latest report comes after another year of scrutiny and criticism by pro-life groups who say the organization is much more interested in terminating pregnancies than in offering actual health care to women -- a charge that's backed up by the numbers in Planned Parenthood's own report. For example, while Planned Parenthood reported performing 293,799 Pap tests during their 2015-16 fiscal year, that’s only about 1.5 percent of the total number of Pap tests the CDC says are performed annually. The organization has also admitted they don't provide prenatal services at the vast majority of their clinics, none of which offer mammograms.

On the other hand, Planned Parenthood accounts for about one-third of the total abortions performed annually in the United States.

According to the report, Planned Parenthood still netted $553.7 million (about 43 percent) of its roughly $1.3 billion total revenue in 2015-16 from government grants and reimbursements, which includes state and local funding as well as Medicaid payments.
