There Is a New Kind of Abortion Clinic that Will Disgust You

The Washington Post published a story that all but drooled over what liberals will, no doubt, see as the future of abortion practices.

Christopher Purdy is the founder and president of Carafem, an abortion clinic that attempts to disguise itself as a spa.

A spa.

As in, “We’ll give you a massage while we kill your kid.”

This vile establishment is opening up in the Friendship Heights area of Maryland and it, apparently, specializes in abortion pills.

Staff will greet women with tea, put them in cozy robes, and sit them down and hand them a pill. As if it was so matter-of-fact and simple. The women will be sent home with a second dose of pills for the next day where they will consume them and wait until they have a forced miscarriage within six hours.

The abortion spa concept attempts to de-stigmatize abortions. The Post quotes feminist poet Katha Pollitt saying:

“We need to talk about ending a pregnancy as a common, even normal, event in the reproductive lives of women,” Pollitt writes, adding that the decision to abort can be “just as moral as the decision to have a child — indeed, sometimes more moral” because “part of caring for children is knowing when it’s not a good idea to bring them into the world.”

The Post then shares a video from the Toledo Blade’s website. There, Ohio state Rep. Teresa Fedor (D) defends her abortion. Speaking on the Ohio House floor, Fedor declares" “You don’t respect my reason. My rape. My abortion.”

National Right to Life President Carol Tobias said that changing the appearance of an abortion clinic doesn't mask its evil: “Abortion is not pleasant and trying to put pretty wrappings around the procedure isn’t going to make any difference.”

And, according to a recent Gallup poll, 58% of Americans believe that abortion is morally wrong.

Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser believes the attempt will fail. Even people who are pro-abortion “don’t necessarily see it as something to celebrate. They want to think about [abortion] as a necessary evil,” she said.

But, Purdy is undeterred. He said, “It’s fresh, it’s modern, it’s clean, it’s caring. That’s the brand we’re trying to create.” More like repugnant, corrupt, and genocidal.
