While some retailers have surrendered to, or even joined, the War Against Christmas, here are some that actually admit that you’re doing “CHRISTMAS” shopping – and welcome it.

Here are seven companies that a study by The American Family Association (AFA) concludes are retailers that “promote and celebrate Christmas on an exceptional basis,” followed by those that at least acknowledge it - and, finally, AFA’s list of companies that shun the very concept of “Christmas.”

“Exceptionally” Pro-Christmas Retailers:

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRL) provides a friendly home-away-from-home in its old country stores and restaurants. Guests are cared for like family while relaxing and enjoying real home-style food and shopping that’s surprisingly unique, genuinely fun and reminiscent of America’s country heritage

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is the largest privately owned arts-and-crafts retailer in the world employing approximately 32,000 employees and operating more than 700 stores in forty-seven states. Hobby Lobby is primarily an arts-and-crafts store but also includes hobbies, picture framing, jewelry making, fabrics, floral and wedding supplies, cards and party ware, baskets, wearable art, home accents and holiday merchandise.

Kirkland's

Kirkland's is more than a leading retailer of home decor and gifts. At Kirkland's, our unique products create the backdrop for memorable life events, like a family dinner, a child's first birthday, a 20th wedding anniversary, or just a cozy evening indoors.

Lowe's

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is a FORTUNE® 50 home improvement company serving more than 17 million customers a week in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Michaels Stores

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is North America's largest specialty provider of arts, crafts, framing, floral, wall décor, and seasonal merchandise for the hobbyist and do-it-yourself home decorator.

Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE: WMT) helps people around the world save money and live better - anytime and anywhere - in retail stores, online, and through their mobile devices.

AFA Online Store

The AFA Store is an online marketplace for the supporters of American Family Association to find ministry-related resources and educational materials, as well as family-based entertainment.

AFA’s “Nice” List:

While not “exceptional,” each of these companies is considered “Christmas-friendly” because it uses the term "Christmas" on a regular basis.
