Since December 15 marked the 232nd anniversary of the adoption of the US Bill of Rights, and December 16 was the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, perhaps it’s time to assess the status of our Natural Rights. In other words, do we live in the purported “Land of the Free,” or are we trapped in the “Land of the Lost”? Reference to recent US, state, and local government action tilts the…

Al Gore has done yeoman’s work maintaining his reputation as a stuffy, arrogant, faux intellectual who has no qualms about telling people he will use the force of government to mess with their peaceful lives. Everything from rock music to the internal combustion engine has been in his collectivist crosshairs, to the point where, just over a week ago, as he stepped in and out of the air-…

At Christmas time, Americans often accessorize their celebration of the birth of Christ with childhood memories of family, friends, surprises, songs, decorations, and even classic television broadcasts - the latter of which, one must admit, often had very little to do with Christ, but still filled the heart with fondness and cheer. One such classic is the 1970 Rankin and Bass stop-motion…

When will a majority of Americans open their eyes to the growing political favoritism -- a.k.a. mercantilism, a.k.a. economic fascism -- the federal and state governments have slid into their lives? When will they tire of repeatedly discovering that their self-seen patriotism has been levered to fill the corrupt coffers of people who operate institutions, engage in activity, and push philosophies…

Albert Einstein often receives credit for observing, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” And Conservatives might want to reflect on that aphorism, especially when discovering this new wrinkle in the increasingly ugly face of federal “control” over immigration. Joseph Simonson reports for the Washington Free Beacon: “A senior official…

The government gourmands and connected collectivists at air-conditioned COP 28, in Dubai just offered collectivism watchers another example “How It’s Done.” Because, get this, some of the Climate Cult attendees, some of those gathering to rub elbows and pick our tax pockets while they issue plans to further corral our lives and attack our freedom? Yeah, some of those completely humble, totally…

In The Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson put words to the sentiments of many colonials of the time when he described British government actions in America as a “long train of abuses.” Today, that train is run by the feds in DC, various state and local governments, and the politically connected media and special interests who seem to roll over our rights at an accelerating rate. But…

There seems to be a slight difference between old, secretly censorious, FBI-paid Twitter -- which many of us found frustrating because the social media platform responded to government-tied pressure and hid our truthful posts about things like the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop, flagged our posts about mask-mandates, and crushed posts mentioning the very low fatality rate of…

After years of devious, unsupportable, government-subsidized (i.e. tax-subsidized) propaganda designed to generate apocalyptic fear and support for immoral, unconstitutional, economically backwards edicts ranging from windfarm and electric vehicle subsidies, to bans on lightbulbs, is it possible that a larger proportion of the American (if not world) population is waking up to the dark…

How was your Thanksgiving weekend? Hopefully, the company and the food were wonderful. Now that it’s over, beware this far too rich political dish that just keeps coming back in one’s mental gorge. He’s Michael Hayden, a career government parasite who seems to derive twisted pleasure out of twisting reality and sneering at Americans who believe in truth and honesty. And his latest swipe at one…
