John Conyers At "One Nation" Rally: Tea Party Hurting Conservatives And Republicans
Monday, October 4, 2010 - 9:17am
This past Saturday at the 'One Nation' rally in Washington, D.C., Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) told Eyeblast.tv that Tea Party rallies are hurting Conservatives and Republicans.
"I think they're okay. They're splitting the Republican party and they're also making a lot of people who were thinking about voting Conservative realize that that's a pretty hair-brained idea",Conyers said.
Conyers also stated that he believes the 'One Nation' rally was about "telling everybody in America going right up to the White House, that the people of this country are still for pushing for democracy, for fairness, for more jobs, for peace, for out of Afghanistan, for universal health care."
He continued, "Other than something that's about AIDS, or something else, it's about what people really want to see this country evolve to."
