Personally I'm not sure how to read this one. I mean the flag was being flown in a way which is technically illegal and, I think, clearly disrespectful. It's one thing to be proud of your heritage and remember your roots but flying your home country's flag above the American flag while your in this country is highly inappropriate and most likely intentionally provocative.
So it seems understandable to me that a man who served this country would get pissed at a display like that. I'm not even necessarily bothered by the fact that he took initiative and cut the flag down himself. However, I think his passion gets the best of him in the end here.
What do you guys think? Was this vet a bit too impassioned or do you think his bold actions are exactly what we need?
