Video From The Ballot Box? Not So Fast
Sunday, October 19, 2008 - 5:24am
YouTube and PBS have joined forces to "Video Your Vote" a couple of weeks from now "in an effort to see the events of Election Day unfold." There's just one problem with the idea: Election law may prohibit it.
Via Instapundit, we learn that Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson said that filming the actual casting of ballots would be illegal. The state passed a law against the practice in 2005. The goal of the law is to prevent voter intimidation. Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor.
